professional artists/developpers/others looking down to amateurs...
Pretentious, aggorant professionals.
"it's not professional" "it doesn't look serious!"
Hate dem. whenever I tell professional people that I draw, they look down to me.
When I say that I have mastered Gimp in half a day and photoshop isn't harder, they laugh at me
until
I show them. And then they ask for a demonstration, betting that I'm not able to draw.
then I draw anything they want in 5 min.
So I regain my honor, I do that for all "amateurs" who are despised by those "professionals".
years of studies doesn't give you the right to despise anyone, dudes.
I never studied painting.
But I see myself as a painter.
qualifications, papers, money, studies, age ... Shouldn't give you more than your true abilities!
So... If someone goes "it doesn't look professional" on your work, well, who decided that the professional look is the best?
I think "amateur" work has more soul. And I think a work with its creator's soul is more interesting than a flat, neat-looking, highly technical but un-personal work.
